About Fit Healthy Humans: The Functional Longevity Manifesto

The Manifesto: Built to Last, Not Just to Look Good

We are not here to help you get “shredded” in 30 days.

If you are looking for a crash diet, a “booty blast” workout, or a magic pill to fix years of neglect, you are in the wrong place.

But if you are looking to build a body that is capable, durable, and pain-free for the next 40 years? Welcome home.

The Problem with Modern Fitness

We live in a strange time. As humans, we have never been more comfortable, yet we have never been more physically fragile.

We spend 8 hours a day sitting in ergonomic chairs, staring at blue-light screens, eating processed food, and then we try to “fix” it by going to a gym and sitting on more machines to isolate muscles that were designed to work together.

The result?

  • 20-year-olds with back pain.

  • 30-year-olds with burnout.

  • 40-year-olds who can bench press 200lbs but can’t sit on the floor to play with their kids without groaning.

The fitness industry sells you Aesthetics (how you look). We believe in Capacity (what you can do).

The “Fit Healthy Human” Philosophy

FitHealthyHumans.com was built on a simple premise: Treat the human body like the biological machine it is.

Our approach to fitness and gear is viewed through the lens of Functional Longevity. We believe:

  1. Movement > Exercise: We don’t just “work out.” We train fundamental human patterns (squat, hinge, carry, push, pull) to ensure we can do them when we are 80.

  2. Durability > Intensity: Grinding your joints into dust for a PR (Personal Record) is not a victory; it’s a loan you’ll have to pay back with interest later. We train smart.

  3. Environment Matters: You cannot out-train a bad environment. Your sleep sanctuary, your workspace, and your footwear are just as important as your gym routine.

Who Is Behind This Site?

My name is Shaun.

For years, I treated my body like a rental car. I sat at my desk all day staring at a computer screen. Then on weekends would party a bit too hard and then try and be “healthy” by either over gyming or hopping on my mountain bike and riding it like I had been training for years only to constantly injure myself.

I realized that the “standard” fitness advice wasn’t working. It was designed for short-term looks, not long-term life.

I spent the last 3 years obsessively researching functional movement, ancestral health, and biohacking. I started FitHealthyHumans to try and share what actually works—and to test the gear that promises to help us.

How We Review Gear

The internet is full of fake reviews. Here is our promise to you:

  • We Test It: We don’t just read the spec sheet. The reviews are from peoples personal experiences using the products.

  • We Are Critical: If a product is overpriced junk, we will tell you.

  • We Are Supported by You: We use affiliate links. This means if you click a link and buy something, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This allows us to keep the site ad-free and independent.
